At World Economic Forum 2020 we created an activation to show how IBM can take companies and cities to the next level with Cognitive Enterprise technologies.

The work was both designed and produced internally, and consists into an interactive exhibition where we tell different narratives showcasing solutions to Banking, Consumer, Manufacturing and Government areas, converging into a better world. It all starts when people place a token at an interactive table and use it to dive into IBM narratives, adjusting it to the story that fits for their business's needs.

Besides being part of the creative team working on the ideas, I was able to design data visualisation at the narratives, tokens and some other installation concepts.
Each token has an industry symbol. It defines which content will appear on the screens.
People use the token to navigate through the narratives.
Icons and Token design
Fun fact is that although these icons seemed simple to design, we actually spent some time going back and forth with them. It happened because the laser cutter could only cut all the pieces if the icon shapes were completely open. If there were any kind of connection between lines, the final pieces would be totally broken.
Tokens production process
We have one fundamental island design for each narrative area, as well as different kinds of interactions and graphics visualisation. All parts together make a bigger picture of how a Cognitive Society can look like.
